💥 WHY THE TENSION RISING IN THESE PARTS FROM PAST FEW YEARS:-

The Seven Sisters region of India has been experiencing rising tensions in recent years due to a complex array of factors. Here are some of the key reasons:

·         Ethnic and Tribal Conflicts: The region is home to numerous ethnic and tribal groups, each with their own distinct identity, language, and culture. Historically, there have been conflicts between these groups, which have been exacerbated by issues like land rights, resource allocation, and political representation.

·         Insurgency and Militancy: The region has been plagued by insurgent groups, some of which have been fighting for capture land or greater autonomy. These groups have been responsible for violent attacks, kidnappings, and extortion, leading to a sense of insecurity and fear among the local population.

·         Border Disputes: The Seven Sisters region shares international borders with China, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. There have been ongoing disputes over border demarcation, leading to tensions between India and its neighbouring countries.

·         Resource Extraction and Environmental Concerns: The region is rich in natural resources, including oil, gas, coal, and timber. However, the extraction of these resources has led to environmental degradation, deforestation, and displacement of local communities, sparking protests and tensions.

·         Immigration and Demographic Changes: The region has experienced a significant influx of immigrants from other parts of India and neighbouring countries, leading to demographic changes and tensions between indigenous populations and new comers.

·         Historical Grievances: The region has a complex history of colonization, partition, and displacement, which has led to lingering grievances and resentments among the local population.

·         External Interference: The region's strategic location has made it vulnerable to external interference, with neighbouring countries and other external actors seeking to influence local politics and exploit the region's resources.

These factors have contributed to a complex web of tensions in the Seven Sisters region, making it challenging to resolve the issues and ensure peace and stability in the area.

📍 PREVENTION:-

THE INDIAN GOVT. HAS TAKEN SEVERAL ACTIONS TO PREVENT IT, LIKE-

·         DEPLOYING A HUGE NUMBER OF SECURITY FORCES TO PROTECT LAW AND ORDER AND THE LOCAL PEOPLE.

·         INCREASING THE NUMBER OF 'BSF' TO STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATIONS.

·         DOING GREAT DEVELOPMENT IN THOSE STATES AND RURAL AREAS.
